A member told the Quebec Legislature that at least 26 “fifth columnists” hold high office in the Province.

HOME GUARD FORMED OTTAWA, May 24. The Minister of Defence, Mr Rogers, announced that the Government are establishing immediately a force, the “Veterans’ Home Guard,” for more adequate protection of military property and other uses. It will consist of 12 companies of exservicemen, each commanded by a major. The age limit will be 50. Pay and allowances will be similar to those in the armed forces.
