ENEMY FLAME=THROWING TANKS SETTING FIRE TO WHOLE STREETS. GERMAN LOSSES OF WAR VEHICLES. LONDON, May 23. A Paris message says that flamethrowing tanks are reported to be setting fire to whole streets as they rumble through Flanders’ towns and villages. They are light, and fast-mov-ing and, according to the Paris Press, have been rushed up t<i aid German motorised units whose dash to the Channel has halted because of refuelling difficulties. The French claim that the Germans have lost 1400 tanks, armoured cars and other motorised units in the last 10 days.
