Jordan (New Zealand High Commissioner) addressing the Anti-Slavery and Aborigine Protection Society at its annual meeting, to which he had been invited in honour of the New Zealand Centennial. The New Zealand House Librarian. Mr Bundekin, representing Mr Jordan, referred to the extremely happy relationship between Maoris and pakehas.
Lord Noel-Bunton said relations between the Maori and pakeha were one of the Empire’s happy achievements, representing the white man's burden at the best level.
