ROAD CYCLING

WAIRARAPA CLUB. TRIAL RIDE TOMORROW. On Saturday members of the Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club will participate in a trial ride over a distance of about 1G miles in the direction of Gladstone, this being a preliminary to the first competitive race on the following Saturday. Although this ride is mainly for the benefit of hew members, so that they may get the "feel'' of the racing sport.-old riders are urged to attend in order to give them every encouragement. The point cannot be stressed too much that a racing cycle is not necessary (though perhaps to a certain extent an advantage), to engage in racing. Anyone owning al serni-racing cycle or sports cycle is invited to ride on Saturday and co-op-erate in bringing cycling into its right sphere in the sports world. The ride will commence in Church Street in thei vicinity of the southern entrance to the Park at 2.30 p.m. Riders may! change at the residence of Mr S. Copp.' 7 Elizabeth Street.
