“THE CISCO KID & THE LADY.” [ One of the most colourful characters of the Old South-west, beloved by Americans for more than three decades in fiction and on the screen, swaggers back into romantic life again in "The Cisco Kid and the Lady.” This 20th Century-Fox picture opens tonight at the State Theatre. The famous O. Henry created the original Cisco a smiling, daring, lovemaking desperado whose hairbreadth escapes and reckless courage have won him undying admiration from all adventure-lov-ers. “The Cisco Kid and the Lady” brings a new Cisco in the person of Cesar Romero and he proves to be the greatest caballero of them all! He offers pulse-pounding adventure, roar-, ing action, gay romance, two-fisted fights and thrilling entertainment that make Cisco unforgettable. Defiant, swaggering, gay, romantic —the" Cisco Kid has the perfect portrayer in Cesar Romero. The film also features in the cast Marjorie Weaver, Chris-Pin Martin, George Montgomery, Robert Barrat, Virginia Field and Harry Green. I The screen play opens in typical fashion; Cisco, accompanied by his faithful, comic Gordito, encounters a new adventure in the desert when they are ambushed by a local villain in his attempt to secure two-thirds of a gold mine map owned by them.
