TRADE WITH DENMARK
PROHIBITED WHILE COUNTRY IN ENEMY HANDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. April 17. A statement that trading with Denmark was prohibited as the country was in enemy occupation was made today by the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. He said that this did not apply to Iceland or the Danish dependencies of Greenland and the Faroe Islands so long as business with them did not involve intercourse with Denmark. Proper returns should be made to the Custodian of Enemy Property of all money which, but for enemy occupation of Denmark, would be payable to persons or concerns in Denmark and of any property held or managed in New Zealand for such persons and concerns. The Minister also urged caution regarding transactions with any part of Norway without previous consultation with the Industries and Customs Departments,
