CREYTOWN
ENJOYABLE SOCIAL HELD BY GOLF CLUB. ("Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Greytown Golf Club held a social in the Odd Fellows' Hall on Monday evening. The music for the dancing was supplied by_ Messrs Boyd and Brice and extras were played by Miss B. Shedden and M? Ray Ingley. Messrs G. Robinson and J. W. Tate carried out the duties of M's.C. Miss Askew sang two songs. Mrs T. Gold played the accompaniments. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of Mrs Kiernan. Golf Competition. On Saturday the first round of a Stableford competition will be playew by the Greytown Golf Club members. This is for the vice-president’s trophy and will be played in three rounds. Personal. Mr and Mrs G. Burns and family have left for Wellington where they will spend a holiday. Trust Lands Trust Election. Nominations for two trustees who retire by rotation, and one to fill an extraordinary vacancy on the Greytown Trust Lands Trust will close wits the secretary at noon on Tuesday. April 23. Pre-Wedding Party. There was a very happy gathering in the Morison’s Bush Hall on Monday evening, when residents of the district tendered a social and “gift evening” to Miss Sybil Power, who is shortly to be married. During the evening, which was mostly spent in dancing, Mr Ken Woodley, on behalf of Miss Power, and himself, thanked all those responsible for the very pleasant gathering, and also for the varied and useful gifts they had received. Supper was served and with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne,” the gathering was brought to a close.
