Signor Ansaldo. a director of Count Ciano’s newspaper "Telegrafo.” broadcasting to the forces, warned them that Italy might not forever be nonbelligerent. No nation in Europe, he said, could be isolated from the conflict. “Those believing that Italy will remain outside the conflict to the end,” he added, “are mistaken. The war which has fallen on Norway may fall on us. We are preparing for an occasion which may be much nearer than is thought."
