CENTRAL SCHOOL

OLD TIME DANCES. AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The first of the series of old time dances at the Central School under the auspices of the Parents Association was held on Saturday night. It was soon apparent that the opening attendance would constitute a record for the school dances, and the hall was filled early in the evening. Excellent music was supplied by Messrs Barnes and Jackson. Extras were played by Mrs Vose. An item rendered by Mr Fulton was much appreciated. The duties of M.C. were most capably carried out by Mr W. R. Nicol. At a suitable interval Mr Nicol thanked patrons for their attendance, and said that he hoped that many of those present would be attending at the school on Monday. April 22, when an election of members for both the School Committee and the Parents’ Association’s Committee would be held. The winners of the Monte Carlo dance were Mr and Mrs Minton. The next of these popular dances will be held on Saturday week. April
