SOUTH FEATHERSTON
BIRTHDAY PARTY (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs A. Ashworth recently entertained a large number of guests in the* South Featherston Hall, the occasion being the birthday of their son. Clarence Ashworth, of the Achilles. Cards, dancing and community singing were indulged in till a late hour. During the supper interval Mr Wilton proposed the health of the guest of the evening and. in presenting him with a camera on behalf of those present, expressed a wish that he would long be spared to exhibit some interesting photos of his travels. Mr Ashworth suitably replied. Mr Wilton also proposed the health of Mr and Mrs Ashworth which was warmly responded to. An' enjoyable gathering concluded with the singing of Auld Lang Syne. Personal. Mr and Mrs D. Robertson, South Featherston, and Mr and Mrs A. Bain Papatahi. are at present on holiday. Miniature Rifle Shooting. Keen interest is being taken in miniature rifle shooting in the district and a successful season is being looked forward to. At the annual meeting on Thursday a number of matters of importance will be discussed.
