FEATHERSTON
RACING CLUB PROFIT OVER RECENT MEETING (“Times-Age" Special.) ' Mr J. W. Card presided at the monthly meeting of the . stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club. The receipts since the last meeting amounted to £6999 14s Bd. The balance sheet of the recent race meeting showed a satisfactory profit. The secretary National Patriotic Fund Board wrote acknowledging receipt of the club’s donation to the National Patriotic funds. The club also made a donation of £5O to the Provincial Patriotic Fund. The deputy stipendiary steward reported that ihe recent race meeting was well conducted, and that all thd officials carried out their respective duties in a satisfactory manner. Seven new members were elected. Personal. Misses B. Donald, J. Donald and F. Donald left yesterday for Auckland, where they intend spending a few weeks’ holiday.
