RIFLE SHOOTING KAIPARORO CLUB CONTESTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kaiparoro Defence Rifle Club opened its season, with a practice shoot over the 500yds and 600yds ranges for a trophy presented by Mr J. Bradbury. This was won by Rifleman R. Henson with a score of 67. The scores wore as follow: R. Henson 500yds 32. 600yds 32. handicap 3. total 67; P. Henson 31, 32. 3, 66; K. Henson 33, 30. 2. 65; O. Walton 33. 31, —. 64; C. Welch 32. 29. 2, 63: D. J. Dick 30, 25, 2, 57; J. Torrey 31, 20, 3 54. The members have now commenced the championship series. The first shoot resulted in a win for President C. Welch, who takes Mr G. A. Hansen’s trophy. Top scorer for the second shoot was Rifleman O. Walton, who wins Mr W. Hornblow’s trophy.
