KAHUTARA CLUB FINALS. The finals of the Kahutara Tennis Club were played on Sunday. The winners were: Ladies: Junior, Miss Phyllis Hood; senior, Miss Betty Pope. Men: Junior. lan Siemonek; senior. Mr Walter Juno; combined doubles. Miss P. Hood and Mr,W. Juno. Personal Items. The Mayoress, Miss Card, was a visitor to Wellington yesterday. Miss Valda Downes, formerly a pupil of the Featherston District High School who gained her matriculation and received her higher leaving certificate at Raurimu recently received word that she had been accepted as a teacher, and is now at the Training College, Christchurch. Mrs V/. Mitchel, Napier, who has been visiting Mrs Juno. Pihautea, has left for Wellington. Euchre Party and Dance. The fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the Pihautea Hall on Saturday. The prize winners were:— Ladies, Mrs Juno 1, Mrs Elbe 2; men, Mr Riki 1, Mrs McKay 2.
