HOCKEY
EXCELSIOR CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. The annual meeting of the Excelsior Hockey Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. last evening, Mr W. Harding presiding over a fair attendance. Officers were elected as follows for the ensuing year:—Patron. Mr L. B. Maunsell; president, Mr A. Southey; vice-presidents, Messrs Green, H. C. Beiliss, F. Lambert. J. Barnes, F. Madsen, G. Hayne, J. Wing. N. G. Rayner, F. Staines and Mrs W. Harding; secretary and treasurer, Miss J. Harding; committee, Miss E. Barnes, Mrs A. Southey, Misses R. Staines, N. Munn, V. Russell, R. Harding. Messrs Harding and Madsen; auditor, Mrs A. Southey; delegates to Association, Miss E. Barnes and Mr F. Madsen; club captain, Miss E. Barnes; club coach, Mr F. Madsen. It was decided to hold a practice next Saturday at Lansdowne at 2 o’clock, and all members are requested io attend. The weekly practices were fixed fcr Tuesday and Thursday mornings. It was decided to enter one senior and one junior team for the Association competitions. Several new members were elected, and the club will welcome further players of both senior and junior grade.
