PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times : Age” Special.) Miss W. Dickson is visiting Hastings. Cadet-Officer Jack Carroll spent the Easter holidays at Alfredton. Miss Beresford, of the Hobson Street Hospital, Wellington, has returned after spending a few days at Forest Flat. Mrs. P. S. Carroll, New Plymouth, visited her sisters, the Misses Anderson, during Easter.Mr. Purvis George, of the non-com-missioned officers’ camp, Trentham, spent Easter with his mother, Mrs. S. M. George, Alfredton. Mr. Don Failover, Mangaweka, was a visitor to Eketahuna for Easter. Mr. Hilton George.’’ who has been receiving treatment at the Wellington Hospital, has now left that institution. Mr. Barrie Anderson returned from New Plymouth today. While there, he attended the annual reunion of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School.
Mrs. E. Edwards and Miss Joyce Edwards have returned from a visit to Waipukurau. Mr. Paul Bouzaid is confined to his home with a severe attack of influenza. Master Alan Welch, a 13-year-old boy, of Mangamaire, who was a competitor at the recent Musical Competitions at Napier, gained first place for boys’ song (12 years and under 16 years). There were seven competitors in this competition.
Schoo! Work Tenders. The Wellington Education Board is calling for tenders, which will close at noon on Wednesday, April 10, for the installation of a heater in the woodwork room at the Eketahuna District High School. Plans and specifications can be seen at the "Times-Age” Office, Masterton.
