While the Chungking Government’s spokesman issued a warning that it "would not be responsible for any acts of the Nanking traitors," whose treaties will not bind China. Mr Wang Ching-wci’s supporters concluded a conference and passed a resolution providing for the liquidation of the Chungking regime, invalidating any Chungking treaties made after March 30, ordering soldiers to cease hostilities and civil servants at present in Chungking to return to Nanking.
