AWARD TO AIRMAN
MEDAL FOR NEW ZEALANDER.
PRESENTED BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, March 22.
Air Chief Marshal Ludlow Hewitt and the High Commissioner for New Zealand, Mr Jordan, inspected a large number of airmen at a hangar at the East Anglian bomber station, including New Zealand officers and men who recently carried out their first operation —a sweep over the North Sea. —Mr Jordan presented the D.F.M. to' Corporal Knight. He said: "On behalf of the New Zealand Government and people t want to say how proud we are of the part you played.” Mr Jordan said he was greatly impressed by what he had seen. It was striking proof of the R.A.F.’s ability to hit back and keep on hitting.
