DISPLAY AT RANGITUMAU

WOMEN'S DIVISION SHOW, LIST OF PRIZEWINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held a very successful flower show in which residents and friends from other districts took a keen interest. The show was the first exhibition of the kind to be held in Rangitumau for many years. Mr and Mrs Ahrens acted as judges and were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Cabbage: Mrs Laurie Wilton 1, Mrs Duckett 2. Points prize: Mrs Macdonald. During the afternoon Mr J. Duckett conducted a weight-judging competition in aid of the Patriotic Fund. Considerable interest was shown in the prize, a very fine collection of vegetables grown and given by Mr Duckett. It was won by Miss Harvey and Miss Josephine James. The proceeds amounted to £3 Is.

Members of the Division provided afternoon tea.
