PAHIATUA SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report: At the Pahiatua weekly sale a large yarding of station cattle and a good entry of sheep were offered to a large attendance of outside and local buyers. The lamb market was particularly firm on late rates, and there was a keen demand for wethers. A yarding of over 1000 head of station cattle met with good competition. Bullocks on the day were considered slightly neglected, but the young cattle generally sold particularly well. Light beef met with good competition. The cattle yarded were in good condition and the majority of the offering was well bred cattle. Quotations are: — Sheep. —Wether lambs (good) 18s Bd. 18s 6d, 17s 3d, to 16s 9d.
