Density put up a sensational time for the half-mile on the outside of the course proper this morning, running the distance, with A. Messervy in the saddle, in 46 3-ssec. It is doubtful whether this time has ever been equalled in a trial on the course here. Density, who is a candidate for the Railway Handicap at Trentham next week, appeared io do her work easily. She is a four-year-old brown mare by Pink Coat from Denise and is trained by D. E. Cotton. In the past Density always showed great speed, but failed to run on in many races. She looks much stronger now as a result of treatment for blood trouble.
