“The strange tiling is that the salary he will eventually reach comes last in a boy's mind when choosing a career," said Mr G. W. C. Drake, vocational guidance officer of the Auckland Youth Centre, in an address to members of the Auckland Rotary Club. Mr Drake added that a boy’s first considerations were whether a job would be to his liking and whether he would be able to do it.
