CARTERTON RACES

MEETING AT CLAREVILLE TOMORROW TRACK in first-class ORDER. FIRST EVENT AT li 15 P.M. The Carterton Racing Club’., annual race meeting takes place tomorrow. There is an excellent acceptance and the event is being looked forward to with keen interest. The track is in firstclass order and should induce good fields. Already visiting horses are arriving from Gisborne and other quarters. The Trentham contingent will arrive tonight and tomorrow morning. The first race starts at 12.15 p.m. and the method of betting will be the single pool system. Special train arrangements to suit patrons from a distance have been made by the Railways Department. The price of admission is men ss, ladies 2s. one enclosure.
