The curfew wtis renewed in Hie Jewish quarters after lhe police had been forced to disperse ten thousand demonstrators against the House of Commons vote rejecting the Labour motion condemning the control of land sales. Palestine Jewish leaders ordered a cessation of work as soon as the result of ‘tlio vote was known and demonstrators, headed by rabbis, held a procession in the main streets. They halted, shouting, outside the District Commissioner’s office.
