Boy's Success.
A notable success was scored by a fifteen-year-old competitor. Robert Selby. at the Mastertoil Horticultural Society’s Show on Wednesday. He exhibited a dahlia in the open class and succeeded in gaining first prize against leading gardeners. Agricultural Services.

Mr Lee Martin. at a conference of county council representatives in Hamilton. lie stated that in view of the large war expenditure. every Minister of the Cabinet bad to give very close consideration to every item on the Estimates. Perhaps some items could be deferred till later or reductions of expenditure could be made.
