VISIT TO EXHIBITION
I MASTERTON PRIMARY SCHOOLS EXCURSION ON MONDAY. TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS. The following arrangements have been made in connection with the Masterton primary schools’ excursion Ito the Centennial Exhibition. The train will leave Masterton at 7.23 a.m. and arrive at Wellington at 11.19 a.m. On the return trip the train will leave Wellington at 6.50 p.m. and arrive at Masterton at 10.25 p.m. The train will stop at Renall Street. Solway and Wairigawa. Pupils are asked to make their own arrangements as regards reaching the station in the morning and returning home at night. The pupils will be arranged in groups of ten, each group being in charge of a teacher. Pupils will assemble on the platform in the following order: Southern end: Solway. St Patrick’s, St Bride’s, Whatman, Te Ore Ore. Kopuaranga, Lansdowne. West. Central. Central will entrain first, the others following in the order given. On arrival in Wellington pupils will fall in on the platform in the order given, Solway in the lead. Solway will take- the first tram, the others following in their correct order. This order will stand throughout the day. On entering the exhibition pupils will remain in order of march until lunch has been provided. Pupils are asked to take their own drinks for lunch. After lunch each group, under the charge of a teacher, will visit the various pavilions. Pupils will be allowed to visit Playland from 3.30 until 4 p.m. At 4.30 p.m. the pupils will be taken to the Newtown School where a hot meal will be provided. The following officials have been appointed for the day: Wellington arrangements, Mr W. Deavoll; marshal. Mr E. G. Coddington; treasurer, Mr J. Farrell; organising secretary, Mr J. W. T. Jones.
