MARTINBOROUGH
SCHOOL AFFAIRS MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age" Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Martinborough School Committee correspondence was read from the Director General of Health stating it was impossible at present to extend the milk supply scheme to Martinborough school, but it would be included when the new sterilising station was established. The headmaster reported attendances for month —Primary roll number 179. average attendance 168; Secondary 41 and 38. A few drainage and plumbing defects were reported, and it was resolved to have same attended to, also to obtain a price for repairs to the fence. Mr Sadd was appointed a visitor for month. Accounts amounting to £8 18s 3d were passed. BOWLING CHAMPION PAIRS FINAL. The final of the Martinborough Bowling Club’s champion pairs contest was won by C. Ross and D. Green, who beat J. Jolly and A. Wright. Messrs Ross and Green are to represent the club in the Champion of Champion Pairs to be play ■ ' on the Masterton green next Saturday. A night tournament will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
