Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 86.6 on 23rd (89.2); absolute shade minimum, 36.8 degrees on 15th (37.0); thus the range was 49.8 (52.2). Mean temperature for the month, 62.6 (63.5). Absolute grass minimum, 29.3 on 15th (28.6); average grass minimum 44.9 (41.4); average at one foot underground, 65.2 (65.9). Severest frost. 1.1 on night of 15th (1.8). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 1 (4); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F„ 0 (0); of gale, 14 (4). Total rainfall, 1.85 inches on 15 days (0.54); greatest fall, 46 points on 24th (12).
