KAITUNA-FERNRIDGE

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE BUSINESS AT ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) Despite the wet weather there was a very good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the KaitunaFernridge Women’s Institute, which was held in the Kaituna Hall, Mrs Welsh (president) presiding. A splendid report on the year’s work was given by the secretary, Mrs Pringle, she being accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mrs J. Welsh presented Mrs Pringle with a small gift of appreciation of her valuable work during the. year. The following committee was appointed for the coming year:—Mrs J. Welsh, president; Mesdames Keir. Shaw, Ramsay. Alan Keir, Pringle, Welch, Misses Birch and McKenzie. During the afternoon Miss Maddever gave an interesting talk on the World Conference in London and also her visit to Cairo. The competitions for the month resulted:—Cream puffs: Miss L. Pain. 1: Mrs J. Welsh, 2. Best bloom: Mrs Shaw. 1 and 2. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Wyeth. Misses L. Pain and N. Birch.
