AMATEUR SWIMMING

MASTERTON CLUB EVENTS. FURTHER CHAMPIONSHIPS TOMORROW. Club competitions will be continued in the Dixon Street Baths tomorrow evening with further Masterton Swimming Club championships will be decided, together with handicap events. Following is the programme:—soyds junior boys’ championship; 50yds junior girls’ handicap; 25yds junior breaststroke handicap (open); 50yds intermediate boys’ championship; 50yds intermediate boys' breaststroke championship; 50yds intermediate girls’ freestyle championship; 100yds men’s freestyle championship; 25yds ladies' freestyle championship; 25yds dash (open); diving events, each grade.

If sufficient entries are forthcoming for the Eketahuna Club's Carnival on March 16. the club will provide a bus to convey swimmers. Entries should be handed in to the secretary immediately. The Masterton Club Carnival which was postponed last Saturday will now be held on March 9. The programme will be the same as that previously advertised.
