HEARD FROM DUTCH COAST. INDICATIONS OF FIGHTING AT SEA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON. February 29. The Hague Correspondent of Reuters reports that heavy gunfire was heard at midnight off the Dutch coast in the direction of the North Sea. It is believed that a naval battle is progressing. The firing lasted an hour, and flashes of exploding shells could be seen from the shore. A later message states that the gunfire off the coast was from Dutch naval vessels carrying out night exercises.
