KEEPING TOUCH
WITH SOLDIERS AT FRONT. VALUE OF FIGHTING SERVICES FUND. There is a fine spirit behind the desire of an.v locality to maintain touch with its own boys who are serving in ■the forces overseas. This can be done through letters, and an occasional parcel. But the giving of day to day service in cheering up the lads front home can only be acne through the Salvation Army and Y.M.C.A. backed by the Fighting Services Welfare Fund. Fifty men may leave a town for camp, and for a while remain together, but a time comes when hall' of them may be needed in another unit, and during active service conditions some may find themselves in another battalion after a slay al the base. Mails and parcels will reach them in time, but the Y.M.C.A. and the Salvation Army can be relied on to be always with them.
