NORWEGIAN DEMANDS IGNORED BY GERMANY. FOREIGN MINISTER’S STATEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) OSLO. February 29. The Foreign Minister, Mr H. Koht, stated in Parliament that Denmark. Sweden and Norway were separately making application for the cessation of mine-laying because it violates international law. Norway could not grant the German demand to cut off shipping to England. Germany was not justified in sinking Norwegian ships which touched British control ports. Germany had not replied to Norwegian protests nor demands for compensation.
