THE AIR FORCE

PROVISION OF COMFORTS. DONATIONS ACKNOWLEDGED. The committee of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club, on behalf of Air Force relations, gratefully acknowledges receipt of the following donations for the provision of comforts for members of the Royal New Zealand Force (overseas):—

A very fine effort is being made by a ladies' committee and an enthusiastic band of helpers is knitting garments such as pullovers, scarves, mittens, socks and balaclavas and making foodstuffs (biscuits, shortbread, cookies, etc). Donations of tinned foods (condensed milk, honey, peanut butter, tomatoes, meats and vegetables) would be welcomed. Parcels and donations may be forwarded to Mrs H. J. Lord, 58 Essex Street, Masterton, or Messrs Dunderdale & Gray. Perry Street, Masterton. Once a month parcels will be despatched to headquarters in Wellington. The first consignment will be forwarded shortly when it is anticipated that a number of pullovers, etc., and tins of foodstuffs which are now being prepared will be ready.
