She shut off the gramophone and turned excitedly to her father. "Dad.” she exclaimed, “that is the latest kind of jazz record. Did you ever hear anything so wonderful?” Father, who had been trying to read his evening paper, grunted. "No.”, he replied wearily. "I can’t say I have, although I once heard a collision between a wagon-load of empty milk cans and a farm cart filled with live ducks.”
