FLYING=OFFICER LONG

EXPLOIT RECOUNTED REFERENCE AT OPENING OF COLLEGE TODAY. When the Wairarapa College pupils assembled this afternoon the principal, Mr G. G. Hancox. made reference t othe recent Hying exploit of Fying Officer Frank Long in connection with which he was awarded the Flying Cross. Mr Hancox stated that Mr Long had been a pupil at the college for four years, the last year as head boy. Amid applause it was decided lo forward a letter of congratulation to Flying Officer Long, and one to his parents. Mr and Mrs H. Long.
