TENNIS TOURNEY
SPECIAL TRAIN OFFER.
(To The Editor),
Sir, —In connection with the New Zealand Centennial Tennis Tournament being held in Wellington this week, at which some prominent Australian players are competing, I approached the Railway Department as to whether it would be possible to have tire 6 p.m. Rail-Car from Wellington on Saturday delayed, so that Wairarapa visitors to the Tournament could see the whole day’s play. The Railway Department has advised that providing sufficient passengers are offering they will run a “special” delayed ’car from Wellington. If tennis players in particular would notify me that they are prepared to travel by rail-car I will arrange with the Railway Department to delay a “special” until 7.30 p.m. on Saturday next, February 10. Thanking you in anticipation of giving publicity to this matter. I am, etc.,
H. M. BODDINGTON. Hon Secretary W.L. Tennis Assn. Masterton, February 8.
