The chief results at the Moorefield races on Saturday resulted as follows:—

Three and Four-year-old Handicap: Astounding. 9.0 (Munro). 1; Calruin. 8.9 (Shean), 2; Deaumarl. 8.2 (O'Sullivan). 3. Sixteen started. Four lengths; length. Time, 1.43. Moorefield Handicap: Lord Valentine, 7.3 (Lappin), 1: Last Chance. 6.7 (Dood), 2; Legion Bird. 7.10 (Waterson), 3. Seven started. Two lengths and a half; three lengths. The jockey Lappin rode three successive winners, including both divisions of the Flying Welter Handicap. Six favourites in seven races won. Some bookmakers are reported to be unable to meet their obligations till tomorrow. MOOREFIELD EVENTS. STAKES TO LADY KOORINGAL. MELBOURNE. February 4. At the Mentone meeting the J. L. In the Summer Hurdle M. Fryers Hunting Song gelding Soloist finished second.
