Heavy rain fell in Wellington on Friday night and at the break of dawn the conditions were anything but promising for the concluding day of the Wellington Trotting Club's centennial meeting on Saturday. Fortunately from then on conditions improved and no more rain fell. A heavy and somewhat cold northerly wind prevailed throughout the day. making conditions somewhat unpleasant. The totalisator handled the sum of £36,203, making £61.154 10s for the meeting, an increase of £7569 10s. Results: —
