PRE=WEDDING PARTIES

MISS M. DOHNT HONOURED. Miss Mabel Dohnt, whose marriage to Mr C. J. Chapman will take plat'e on Saturday, has been entertained at two pre-wedding parties. Mrs R. E. Baker recentlj- gave a jolly parly at her home. Lansdowne, when the guest was the recipient of many useful and handsome gifts. The winner of an amusing competition was Mr V. B. McKeague.

Another hostess was Miss Kitty Cairns, who entertained the bride-to-be and her friends at a “kitchen afternoon.” A very happy time was enjoyed by all present, items being given by Mrs Carstens (songs) and the hostess (recitations). The winners of the competition were Mrs N. Ninnes and Miss E.. Chapman.
