ORDER OF FORESTERS

MEETING IN MASTERTON SERVICES TO LODGE RECOGNISED There was a good attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting oi. the Foresters' Lodge, Masterton, pre sided over by C.R. Bro. R. Walker. The sick visitors reported that the members on the sick fund were making satisfactory progress. Bro. N. Winhall notified the lodge that ho had entered camp as chaplin. Bro. S. V. Sharman reported on the recent inter-lodge card tournament, and stated that the Carterton Lodge had been successful in winning the Shield from the Eketahuna Lodge.

It was decided that a picnic be held on February 11 on Mr J. H. Payton's property .it Mount Bruce. It has also been arranged that cars should leave the Post Office between 10 and 11 a.m. and from 1 to 1.30 p.m. The committee is looking forward to seeing a large number of members and their friends present at the gathering and a very enjoyable time is assured as both children and adults will be well catered for.

Bro. C. A. Leigh presented I.P.C.R. Bro. H. C. Stewart with a P.C.R. neck ribbon in recognition of services rendered by him to the lodge.

Several members expressed their intention of attending a complimentary dance arranged by the Wellington City lodges for February 16. Sick pay amounting to £6 16s 8d was passed for payment.
