SWIMMING

MASTERTON CLUB. PROGRAMME FOR TOMORROW NIGHT. The weekly competitions of the Masterton Amateur Swimming Club will be continued in the Dixon Street Baths tomorrow evening at 7.15 o’clock when an added attraction will be the presence of a team of water polo players and swimmers from Eketahuna who will take part in special events and in a match with a team of Masterton players. The following will be the programme:—2syds junior girls handicap; 75yds junior boys handicap; 50yds intermediate girls handicap, 100yds intermediate boys handicap, 25yds open breaststroke handicap, 50yds open backstroke handicap, 50yds ladies’ handicap. 50yds men’s handicap, 100 yds teams relay handicap, long plunge event, diving and water polo match— Eketahuna v Masterton.

The programme will start promptly as it is longer than usual and competitors are asked to be ready for their events as soon as called. Swimmers are also reminded that full costumes must be worn. The water polo players will hold a practice tonight.
