CANTERBURY QUOTATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Asociation.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 23. Only a very few lines of wheat have yet come into merchants' hands in Christchurch, the flow from the country having been delayed by the wet weather. While it is too early yet to obtain any reliable indication of yields, it can be said that those already known are satisfactory to the farmers, some of them being better than anticipated. There is little movement yet in other markets. The following are the prices paid-to farmers on trucks at country sidings, unless otherwise indicated. Wheat —Milling, f.0.b.. Tuscan 5s 6d. Hunters 5s Bd, Pearl 5s lOd (Final payment of 3d a bushel on all wheat at end of year). Oats —A Gartons 3s to 3s 2d, B. Gartons 2s lOd, Algerians 3s to 3s 6d, Duns (dark heavy), 4s to 4s 6d. Ryegrass —Perennial ss. Italian 4s 6d to ss. Cocksfoot —6d to Bd. White clover —Is to Is 6d. Red Clover —7d to 9d. Chaff —£5 (handy stations).
