MASTERTON SHOW

FEBRUARY 13 & 14. Entries for the Masterton show and ram fair close on January 29. Entries are now coming to hand and everything points to a successful exhibition. Some of the best known breeders will be competitors. The Association supplies hot water for picnic parties during the show. The ring events will be one of the features of the show, and should not be missed. The first prize in the lady's hack has been increased to £7 and should attract additional entries although horses are always numerous at the Masterton show. The programme is being arranged so that there will be no' delay and this usually- appeals to the public. The chilled beef classes should be a feature this year, and the prize money has been increased by £25 5s donated by the Meat Board and the Harbour Board (Wellington). The poultry and dog shows are now well established and these should interest many people. Visitors from overseas are assured of a hearty welcome at both the show and ram fair which follows. There will be a night show on February 13, and the ram fair will be held on February 15 and 16.

Schedules may be obtained on application to the Secretary, Box 40, Masterton.
