SWIMMING
MASTERTON CLUB. INSTRUCTION TO LEARNERS. Members of the Masterton Swimming Club are reminded that Mr S. McNicol of the Physical Welfare Division. Internal Affairs Department, will be at the Baths at 7 o’clock this evening to give instruction in the method of teaching learners to swim, and it is hoped that there will be a good attendance of members in view of the importance of this subject and the approaching "Learn to Swim” Week. Tomorrow evening the club will hold its usual weekly competitions and the following will be the events:— 25yds junior girls' handicap. 50yds junior boys' handicap, 25yds intermediate girls’ handicap. 100yds intermediate boys’ handicap. 100yds backstroke handicap. 100yds breaststroke handicap (open), 50yds ladies’ handicap, 100yds men’s handicap, 25yds dash, special' diving event and diving competitions all grades. 100yds teams’ relay. Full costumes must be worn.
