HERD TESTING
WELLINGTON-HAWKE’S BAY ' GROUP. FIGURES FOR WAIRARAPA. The Wellington-Hawke’s Bay Herd Improvement Association reports having tested 34,776 cows in December and the average cow, produced 8101 b milk of 4.6 average test, yeilding 37.37 lb of butterfat. The highest group in the Association was that of Rangiwahia-Apiti wherein 403cowsaveraged431bbutterfat. The two highest herds in the Association averaged 541 b butterfat and were of 72 and 73 cows each. The highest cow in the Association produced 991 b butterfat for the 30 day period.
