DEATH FROM SHOCK
MAN ENTANGLED IN WINCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, January 5. Becoming entangled in the winch while the nets were being lowered, a passenger on the trawler Celina fishing at Bania Reef, out from Napier, this afternoon, died from shock before he could be brought ashore. The victim was: —Mr J. Senior, Christchurch, aged 60. At the time the winch was rotating slowly and the moment Mr Senior’s predicament was noticed the engine was stopped. When he was released he professed to be unhurt, but a few minutes later he collapsed and died. The trawler immediately put about for Glasgow wharf, from where the police and a doctor were summoned. Mr Senior was holidaying in Napier with his wife.
