MEN FOR CAMP
MEMBERS OF SECOND ECHELON. LEAVING MASTERTON NEXT WEEK. Wairarapa men called up for service overseas as members of the Second Echelon will go into camp on January 11 and 12. Those posted to the artillery and divisional cavalry will proceed to Ngaruawahia and Papakura respectively and will leave Masterton by the 11.15 a.m. train on January 11. Men in the field ambulance will leave for Burnham Camp by the 2 p.m. Wellington train on the same afternoon. Infantry and transport men will proceed to Trentham by the 2 p.m. Wellington train on January 12. Altogether 34 men are proceeding to camp next week from the Wairarapa district. HOME DEFENCE. MASTERTON MEN CALLED UP. The following have been selected for home defence duty at Fort Dorset as members of the Second Heavy Group, New Zealand Artillery: C. H. Anderson,’ T. B. Black, J. B. McCarthy, all of Masterton, They will proceed to their station on January 10.
