OBITUARY
MR F. W. JOBLIN. The death occurred suddenly last evening at his residence, “Waiomio,” Gladstone, of Mr Frederick William Joblin, a well known and highly respected resident of the district. The late Mr Joblin. who was 53 years of age, came to the Wairarapa from Christchurch 23 years ago and commenced farming at Gladstone, having been invalided home after war service. He left New Zealand with the Sixth Reinforcements as a member of the Canterbury Mounted Rifles. He was a member of the Wairarapa and Masterton A. and P. Associations, and a patron of the Gladstone Football Club, of which he had been a vicepresident for many years. He was also a member of the Wairarapa South County Council and of the Masonic <- Lodge" No. 19. He leaves a widow and two sons, the Rev Vernon Joblin and Mr Ken Joblin, to whom will be extended the deepest sympathy of a wide circle of friends. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving St Matthew's Church for the Masterton Cemetery following a service commencing at 3 p.m. MP. W. H. NAGEL. The death occurred’ at the Masterton Hospital yesterday of Mr William Henry Nagel, of Parkville, Eketahuna. at the age of 53 years. The late Mr Nagel had only been ill a short time. He had resided in the Eketahuna district all his life and had engaged in farming. Mr Nagel took a keen interest in district affairs. He is survived by a widow, three sons and one daughter. His mother and father, Mr and Mrs W. J. Nagel, of Palmerston North, also survive him. The funeral will take place tomorrow. leaving the late residence. Parkville. Eketahuna, at noon for the Eketahuna Cemetery.
