MAORI WOMAN INJURED. BY PELLETS FROM SHOTGUN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, December 25. Suffering from pellet wounds from a shotgun, a half-cast Maori woman, Maka Kaimoka, aged 45, Putiki, was admitted to Wanganui Hospital last night. The matter was reported to the police, who made immediate investigations. Kaimoka said that shortly before 10 o'clock last night she went to post a letter near Putiki pa and when returning home she received her injuries. The Wanganui police request any person who discharged a gun in the vicinity of Putiki last night to notify them. On inquiry at the hospital tonight the victim’s condition was reported to pe satisfactory.
