BUILDING SOCIETY
WORKERS MUTUAL BENEFIT. BALLOT AND SALE. A meeting of shareholders of the No. 2 Workers’ Mutual Benefit Building Society was held last evening for the purpose of allocating moneys by ballot and sale. Mr R. Krahagen, chairman, presided over a fair attendance of shareholders. Mrs W. L. Hunter was elected to draw the marbles from the ballot boxes. The successful shareholders in the No. 2 Society were Miss A. Mallabarr, Mauriceville, and Mr A. E. Payne, Masterton, who were each declared entitled to advances of £4OO free of interest. A tender of £22 10s was accepted for an advance of £2OO. The ballot in the B Group was then proceeded with, when Mr E.- C. Welch, of Masterton, being the holder of two shares, was declared entitled to an advance of £4OO free of interest. The chairman reported that as funds were coming in freely a further ballot would be held early in the New Y’ear,
